Nike x Liberty London

It seems the Lotus Jazz collection has been released in two parts: the first, entitled the Running Collection, is billed as ‘an exploration of Nike Running's journey from pure performance to the digital future’ and is made up of four Nike+ enabled running models - the Air Max 1, the Free Run+, the LunarGlide+ and the Lunar Montreal.

The collection moves away from the classic floral aesthetic of previous releases and the design aims to reflect ‘a futuristic direction in line with Nike’s digital innovations’. The Lotus Jazz print, originally created in 1965, was selected to convey modernity, as well as echoing the curves of a running track. All four shoes in the Running Collection feature premium materials (such as the Free Run+ with woven upper) and have a clean monochrome colourway with contrasting neon volt (green/yellow) detailing.

The second part of the collection sees a more fashion/lifestyle-inspired theme and features three basketball silhouettes including the Air Force 1, the Blazer and the Dunk Skinny. Although again featuring premium materials and a neon green/yellow colour pop, the overall tone of these shoes is slightly different, using brown and khaki hues in place of stark black and white.
