Working in collaboration with Rick Williams, co-owner of Detroit Boutique Burn Rubber, under the guise of his The Distinct Life creative agency Reebok have produced this sleek new version of the ventilator. Burn Rubber has become a mecca for Detroit’s footwear fanatics, being owned and operated by lifelong sneaker heads who sought to put Detroit back on the map.
This version of the Ventilator features full grain leather uppers, lightly debossed with a camouflage pattern, tan mesh and a gum rubber outsole. A unique aspect of this distinctive shoe is the ‘BAU’ lacelock and hangtag, a reference to Williams’ affiliation to Frank the Butcher and his BAU label.
