Ron Galella is an American photographer who pioneered the celebrity photographer or 'Paparazzo'. He had an obsession with Jackie Kennedy and also had his jaw broken by Marlon Brando ( hence the wearing of an American football helmet in below picture ). He is regarded as one of the most controversial celebrity photographers in the world. To this day, he is still an active pap and the celebs have started to warm to him.

In 2010 Academy award winning documentary filmmaker, Leon Gast directed 'Smash his camera' documenting the trails of tribulations of an early Ron papping (sic) his way around the US. It won the best director award at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
