Afew x Koi Klub x Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Reworked’
Thanks to standouts like Ronnie Fieg’s tonal mastery, 24 Kilates’
delicious packages and the various guest spots from European boutiques,
the Asics Gel Lyte III collaborations have
come to signify top-notch quality. But even those notable drops have
an uphill climb to catch up with at least a portion of the upcoming tag
team effort from Afew and Koi Klub. These new images depict the Afew x Koi Klub x GL3 being
assembled by hand courtesy of professional cobblers and saddlers
that’ll be part of the Saturday, June 2nd, 'Japan Day' launch event in Düsseldorf.

Remi Rough & Pimp My Sneaker
Straight off the back of London’s larget mural, street artist Remi Rough has helped to curate an Australian sneaker-art exhibition featuring the work of 20 international artists...
Featuring sneaker artworks by Remi Rough, Dabs Myla, Fantome, Mr Penfold, Prefab77 and SheOne. Visit the Chadstone website
to see more detailed images of all the shoes created for the project,
plus additional interviews with the artists. Chadstone are also running
two competitions alongside the project; the first to create the
inspiration (by making a Pinterest board) for a Remi Rough mural in
Melbourne, and the second to win the original custom sneakers from the
show.
The exhibition, held at the Chadstone shopping centre in Melbourne,
invited select artists to express their creativity and to 'capture the
colour of street art' using a pair of sneakers as a blank canvas. The
artists involved include Remi Rough (UK), System (UK), Dabs Myla
(Australia/USA), Philip Lumbang (USA), David Shillinglaw (UK), Prefab77
(UK), Billy Alex (Germany), Handiedan (The Netherlands), Jaybo Monk
(Germany), SheOne (UK), Mr Penfold (UK), Fist (UK), Fantome (UK), Laser

New for the Spring/Summer season, adidas Originals will be releasing
their ZX 700 model in a Fluorescent Yellow colorway. The neon kicks have a
white outsole and a few hints of blue on the heel and tongue of the
shoe. These will be hitting select adidas Originals retailers over the
next few weeks.
Sneakers have some sort of ‘inspiration’ behind
them, and more often than not, it’s some kind of pop culture reference
that reflects the nostalgic attention to detail that unites
sneakerheads. But in the case of this new Vans Vault Chukka Boot and Era, we’re seeing a design that has its roots in one man’s quest for a life in harmony with the natural world. Kicks/HI teamed up with fellow 50th stater Sig Zane to bring to live the ‘Makua to Makai’ Pack
that takes us from ‘mountains to sea’ with a couple of Zane’s
distinctive patterns that connect us with Hawaii’s unique and
beautifully holistic culture.
One of the highlights of the sneaker calendar is without question the
introduction of elephant print to the Air Force 1 iD. Here we have a look at an Air Force 1 iD in an Atmos outfit,
featuring elephant print, a white toe-box, a black mid-foot panel, and
the bright turquoise blue Swoosh. Unfortunately, the original grey/black
color combo of elephant print is no longer available (although a number
of other elephant print colors are up for grabs).
The iconic New Balance 1300CL are one of a few sneakers that has a timeless design. The use of quality materials and craftsmanship will continue to make it sought after for years to come. This “Steel Blue” colorway of the 1300CL will stay true to their roots of producing quality products. The upper is equipped with a mixture of premium grey nubuck and mesh materials. It’s also equipped with an ENCAP midsole for maximum comfort. Price around £80
Of the six leather vintage Blazers Nike Sportswear has released over the past three-plus years, Size? are responsible for two-thirds. Their slice of the pie grows a bit larger today with word of another exclusive colorway, this time on the Nike Blazer Low VNTG silhouette. These are basically a chopped-down version of the HO09 drop that also paired Sail and black. And just as their height is shorter, so is the supply, but as of right now this old school take on early 2012′s signature colorway is available at Size?
